Inspiration:  Yesterday's painting, Four Hats, was inspired in part by 9-11, as was today's painting, Patriotic Hat.  Both are transparent red, white, and blue watercolors symbolizing America.  Both have underpaintings and appear disjointed but are whole like the USA.

Inspiration:  This beautiful horse was an inspiration, I just had to put him on paper.  Horses are amazing creatures of God.  Humans could learn a lot from their gentle natures, even the so called wild ones.

Inspiration:  The early morning fog that hangs over hills and mountains in the northeast in early fall; reminds me of home, the Finger Lakes region of Western New York State.  Also, gray rainy days like today remind me of home, but they are much more drab than the manganese and cobalt blues in Foggy Morning.

Once again abstracts turn into landscapes. I am always drawn to nature.  As my daughter became involved with horses we watched the open spaces for horses and cattle disappear I found myself drawn even more to mother nature and her works of art, land and animals.
